Happy Halloween everyone! More costume pictures up on Flickr.
Very rainy and windy today in Seattle. Muriel and I skipped out on the big kids’ soccer games today. They came back muddy and soaked. Glad to have stayed inside, warm and cozy. We had tea, and then snapped a few photos.
This evening we did not have any soccer, any scouts, any swimming, any dance, any anything. A small miracle! So after dinner Niamh and I headed to Discovery Park to have some fun with my camera, a garage sale quilt, thrift store dress, and one of my Grandmother Alice’s old books. Good times. Seattle in the fall just can’t be beat.
School started up here in Seattle this week. The rains returned. I think the nights of kids sleeping in next to nothing are just about done. Soccer, swim lessons, scouts; the short week was full to the brim, and dance doesn’t start until next week. It’s not even officially gone, and I miss summer already. Muriel is in preschool, three mornings a week, which feels so weird. Her first time. And I realized, our first US preschool experience. She loves it. The only sadness is that she doesn’t get to go the other two days. A few back-to-school photos are up on Flickr.
